REVISITED | NYX Matte Lipstick
May 30, 2012Because I love the classics, I wear matte lipsticks almost everyday! I used to wear glosses after college (I know, such a late bloomer) but as I age, I realize it's a mess to put your lip color every 2 hours.
One of the many matte lipsticks I currently love is the NYX Matte Lipstick. I have this in two shades: Angel and True Red.

- Highly pigmented
- Better color payoff compared to the NYX Round Lipstick
- No odd smell (I find the NYX Round Lipstick "soapy" because it tastes like soap for me
- Lasts on me (I apply my NYX Primer on top of my lips)
- Matte and yet glides on your lips
- Better packaging and you can peek into the shade as the middle part is transparent
- Available in 22 beautiful colors
- As usual, available only through reseller/ bazaars
- If used alone, this will dry your lips
4.00 Lipsticks
I am loving the shades I got because I get too many compliments when I wear both colors. Today, I wore "Angel" and everyone was complimenting me how it looked good on me. My friend from work even had to try it herself and got compliments as well. Sweet!
TIP: Make sure you exfoliate, apply a lip balm before application. This would emphasize dry and flaky lips without proper exfoliation and moisturization.
