Hola, hola! It's the weekend! Oh I am swamped really these days! And I noticed I've been *overeating (excuse my French to those who are on a diet!). I need to sleep more rather than munching, lol.
Anyhow, previously, I told you about the Benetton event I've been to. For details click here.

Author's Note: Again, this is a repost from my older blog. I first traveled to Seoul in June 2010. I plan to travel again in Korea next year (2013). And yeah, I got tickets already as early as now. This is it.
==================================================
WELCOME TO THE LAND OF K-POP, BB CREAMS, KOREANOVELAS, SKINFOOD, ETUDE HOUSE AND MANY MORE!
June 2010
And so I already crossed this plan out of my to-do list 2 months before my Korean visa expires. I was contented to just fill my minds with memories of what could have been. And pretty much I was getting too good at it that I almost believed the Seoul trip was over. But no- I was not prepared to be even surprised!
Author's Note: This entry is a repost from my older blog. Back then, there wasn't a direct flight to Bali from Manila until recently when Philippine Airlines (PAL) launched the route. As I chronicle my Bali trip last year, I realized one thing: I THINK I FOUND MY FAVE SPOT FOR THE NEXT 12 MONTHS!
=======================================================
I am still in awe... Yes with Bali! Growing up in a tropical country similar to Bali, I didn't expect too much.
Well except for the fact that the culture in Bali is much much more different than the Philippines.
First of all, there is no direct flight from Manila to Bali so I had to transit from Singapore as I booked my flight thinking my friend Helen will be in Singapura waiting for me.
But turned out, she got pregnant after my SG trip and had to stay in Manila. But all is well since I am good in solo travelling and decided to keep my original itinerary of 3 days stay in Singapore before hopping on that plane to Bali via Air Asia.
Ryan- my friend was a day early in Bali. He transited from Kuala Lumpur and only saw each other on the night I flew in from Singapore!
So how is Bali? Ahhhh... Bali is love, love, love! I just can't wait to come back!
And so therefore, I am sharing you some of the wonderful photos taken by my friend Ryan (beautiful photos, indeed!)
Hola my loves! Last week was too crazy for my schedule. There were a lot of things to do both in my regular job as well as my personal’s. But then, I was able to squeeze the Benetton event on a Thursday which I plan to blog about soon. Just watch out for it. Yay!
Today, I am going to give you my thoughts on the new balm stain in town praised by many beauty bloggers around the globe, the-- Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain.
What's the first thing which comes to your mind when you hear the international brand Benetton?
To me, it takes me back to high school. Back then, only the "coolest" girls can afford and wear them. In Bicol, where I am from, life was much simpler. We don't have the usual "Benetton dose" as much as those teenagers from the big city.
But because I read a lot back then, I knew Benetton like a teenage dream more than Katy Perry does!
And so, when I got invited to the Benetton Fragrances Let's Move & Let's Love Press/ Bloggers Launch few days ago, I didn't have to think twice!
Now let's talk about these two fragrances as I shall be writing a separate post on what transpired to the Benetton event (read: meeting my fave bloggers was a bliss!):
BENETTON Let's LOVE
Hola everyone! How is your week going on so far? Well, I'm just excited to tell you all about a recent invitation I received from GADGETS Magazine!
They are holding the PINOY BLOGFEST 3.0—-Caught in the Web: Both Sides of the Digital Movement—at the Alpha Tents, Alphaland Southgate Tower in Makati City (MRT Magallanes Station 6th floor) on Saturday, SEPTEMBER 22, 2012.
I love perfumes! And in fact, I've been using one perfume since 2008 and I haven't changed it since then.
But once in a while, I like to smell differently than the usual, so I try to use cologne or try another brand to take a breather. Perfumes don't come cheap, let's face it. And so nothing should really stop us from looking for something cheaper and worth our buck.
Back in my struggling early twenty-something corporate slave days, my usual savior is by a brand called Zen Zest.
They sell these body sprays which are fruity and refreshing. I remember buying them for not more than a hundred pesos. Wow, those were the days!
And so, I picked up this neatly packaged bottle called Zen Zest Earth Perfume at the Robinson's Manila during one of my trips there.
One word: AFFORDABLE!
One word: AFFORDABLE!
Unforgettable fragrances that defines an intrinsic spirit, specially formulated for the cosmopolitan individual.

When is too many too much? I guess for makeup junkies, this question seems to a tough one to answer. Personally, I had bought products in the past and used them for a while, then later on after switching bags every now and then, they literally disappear from my sight.
Forever. Well, NOT all I guess.
Such was the case of TONY MOLY TONY TINT in Red Apple.
One of the local brands I really really love is Fanny Serrano Cosmetics.
From their powder foundation to their eyelash curler (which is a nice dupe of Shu Uemura), I've had good experiences so far.
Fanny is a famous makeup artist in the 90's for most celebrities and has established a good number of followers. So getting into producing his own cosmetics line is no surprise at all.
Now, how do you like your eyeshadow? Personally, I like them to be matte. Seldom would you see me wearing a bright or frosted colors because while I like makeup, I can't wear a lot because I can get sensitive to them. That's why I like to play with makeup by applying it to other people.
So, let's talk about another Fanny Serrano product, it's the Fanny Serrano Single Eyeshadow.
I got it in two beautiful matte colors, Mocha Java and Mineral Coal.
As they say, your bag says a lot about you! And in fashion, its still holds true I guess! You must have remembered my last Vedasto purchase here.
And so I didn't think twice in getting another one. The good is that this brand is from the Philippines and what a nice way to support our local producers, right? If you are ready to spend 3-4K for the usual brands, then why not try spending it for a local bag producer to encourage them to produce some more?
Hola everyone! My friend Ros & I made it last Friday, September 7, during Cotton On Philippines' opening at the SM Mall of Asia.
Cotton On fans trooped at SM Mall of Asia and lucky we made it to the very few people who were given the Php 500 discount coupon for any item bought at regular price. Sweet!

To you my friend whom I am not going to name, I hope you won't kill me for writing about this. I just realized we all get to meet a person or two who will always try to compete with anyone. And I have tried, just as I've said to you, to gather my thoughts on how to deal with these kind of people.

I was having some late lunch with a friend and she asked me if there is something she must remember when dealing with competitive people. The story as she told me, is that she happens to know someone whom she thinks competes with her for no reason.
I had to pause munching. I just can't multi task with munching and being serious with the topic.
Well, I just think that we are going to meet that one or two people who will always try to compete with anyone in every aspect of our lives. Being competitive is a sport to them. They don't mean to hate you but they will for sure compete with anyone who tries to get ahead of them. I am guessing this has something to do with our childhood.
Hola, hola! It's been a while since I posted an outfit post! Blame it on not having some nice souls to take my casual photos, hehehe.
But of course I would not want you to miss some curvy girl's getup pic on an everyday basis, would you?
Now, I've been looking for some floral shorts for ages! Currently I have about two of them (well I am hoping to find one more, lol).
So I decided to wear one of them in one of my mall trips.
Floral shorts are just so ultra feminine, can be casual or chic depending on how you wanna play it for a day. Wear some flats for that everyday look just like in the photo or wear some pumps if you're feeling sexy.
I am never good at sports, believe me. But so far, I have some few favorite sports to date such as running (or walking), swimming and *shopping (but wait.. is that even considered a sport?)
Well, in 2010 I happen to meet someone who introduced me to another sport- BILLIARDS!
It was also during that time that I got introduced to a number of excellent players in the world from Filipino excellent players Efren "Bata" Reyes, Dennis Orcollo to other international billiard superstars such as Souquet, Immonen, & Appleton.
But wait, I only tried to play billiard once in my entire life and what can you expect ? Of course I sucked, lol.
But since the 2012 Party Poker World Cup of Pool is held in Manila every year (this time in Robinson's Manila) , I've decided it's time for me to understand the game better and watched the final game between Team Finland (Mika Immonen / Petri Makkonen) and Team Poland (Karol Skowerski & Wojciech Szewcyk).
There is one comfy flats I really like to wear since last year after I found them being sold in one of bazaars at the Rockwell Tent in PowerPlant mall.
SUELAS is the Philippines' FIRST foldable footwear brand :) Designed with the challenges facing a contemporary urban lifestyle in mind, these stylish shoes cater to every woman's footwear needs. Its novel design allow the footwear to be be flattened, folded and rolled, making it a flexible, comfortable and revolutionary solution to footwear problems women face everyday.
SUELAS provides the remedy
to the fashionable woman's logistical and mobile problems.
Globterotting with just a tiny space in your luggage?
Tired after a long day at work and with social functions to attend to?
Trying to commute home with the mad rush hour throng?
Doing some last minute shopping in your pumps and stilettos?
Looking forward to a fun evening of crazy dancing?
Flatten it, Fold it, Roll it. And the world of opportunity is at your feet!
Well, I have a confession to make. I am not the best person to talk about eating healthy because obviously I am not fond of eating greens a lot unless they are cooked under fire, lol.
But there is one thing. I am addicted to these fruit juices by Tipco.
Oh, I just love Tipco. Well, love is probably an understatement. But I am hooked and so is the person who introduced these drinks to me.
Are you curious what happens in a private SALE? Well, me too! I've been lucky to be invited by Jamie of Venus & Mars for this exciting event!

I happen to pick them up from this small unassuming stall called Hakyen's Store| The Good Find in the 2nd level of the Cash & Carry mall in Makati. |
Low-Cost Carriers (LCC) are probably the next best thing ever invented for travelers next to walking shoes. And since I am Filipino, I’ve taken our local low-cost carrier, Cebu Pacific numerous times both local and international.
But Air Asia, said to be the best LCC in Asia ? I'd say----count me in!
In fact, I am so proud that I already have taken 2 routes from them. The very first route I took was Singapore – Bali- Singapore last year and this year, my friend JB and I took the Clark- Kota Kinabalu- Clark route!
Author's Note:
This post is a reprint from my older travel blog. I have not done much traveling this year so I figured it would be nice to repost some of my travel diaries here and share my usual travel experiences and more often than not, funny anecdotes as a solo traveler.
I first traveled in Shanghai (PVG) in November 2010. And from Shanghai, I flew to Beijing (PEK) after 3 days. I stayed in a small hotel with no windows (I didn't know then that not all rooms have windows).

Personally, I don't think I am going to take a room again without a window because after more than 24 hours, I was feeling sea sick, lol.

Hola everyone! I am in Shanghai! Welcome to China!
Here's how my hotel looked like in Shanghai. Small. But Sweet. When it was freezing outside- there I was, watching TV wearing short shorts hehehehe!
If you are living up north (read: Quezon City area, especially near Katipunan Road) or anywhere in the metro and need some pampering and R&R pronto, let me introduce you to the very first emu-oil based organic spa, the Mod Lei Nail & Day Spa.
Mod Lei Nail & Day Spa is the newest venture of sisters Jamie and Just Tan of the famous Venus & Mars Naturals. To know more about them here's what I gathered from this site.
VENUS AND MARS NATURALS is the First True Emu Oil Skin Care Line in the Philippines. Inspired by age-old beauty rituals, we try to bridge the world through wondrous products that deliver, while empowering the world with the beneficial effects it brings to the people and environment. Together, we can make this world a better place. Organic skin care solutions that fit. V&M Naturals. Skin and Hair Nourishment from Nature.
The company managing V&M NATURALS is duly registered with the Department of Trade and Industry and is legally operating with accounts in BIR, FDA and IPO. ALL products are FDA approved and licensed with the Food and Drug Administration (the new BFAD).The company imports and supplies products in bulk (fragrances, carrier oils, extracts, soaps, skin and hair care products, spa and wellness products, aromatherapeutic oils etc) to other wholesalers. It also provides consultation services regarding: -fragrance formulation, -product development, -spa services and over-all training-related services and more.
I do love massages myself. In fact, when I am feeling gloomy and need and instant perk-me-up activity aside from munching (wohooooo!), I usually opt for massage.
So imagine my happiness when Jamie of V&M Naturals invited me up north to try the Mod Lei Nail & Day Spa services! Oh wow, how can I ever say "No" to that. They asked me to try their SIGNATURE BODY RITUAL – SKIN SLATE Treatment and SIGNATURE FOOT SPA WITH PARAFFIN – SOLE SEARCHING.

Oh the makeup! I should not miss this for the world! |
Wow--- can you believe it? It's already September and Christmas is already around the corner! How time flies, noh?
Anyhow, you should know that matte lipsticks are the bomb for me! I am not a fan of lip glosses (I remember using them when I was younger though) so you won't see any lip gloss in my makeup kit but for makeup gigs, I keep one or two.
Now rumor has it that lip paints are the new BOMB! So the quest has led me to find the Sleek Makeup Pout Paint.
