REVISITED | SHAWILL MONO EYESHADOW

January 20, 2012

Weeee.... It's Friday.. and I am in love, lol (of course I am in love with weekends!)

I guess, it's time for me to give you my thoughts on eye makeup! The truth is, I was never fond of putting eyeshadow because I am always on the go. I don't have an hour extra just to put some makeup on. So the eye makeup was the last thing I learned and I wished I have done it sooner because the eyes as I discovered can add drama to the look a makeup artist want to create.

So today, let me tell you about this eyeshadow so dirt cheap, you won't even hesitate to grab one or two.

I learned about this product during my frequent visits in SM Makati & Landmark but I didn't really bother to check them. I had a not-so-good experience from their staff before because I knew that their products are mostly made from China however one of their assistants claimed that they are made from Italy when it is written in the package that these were made in China! I was so disappointed with the SA's attitude that I never bothered to check again.

I have about 4 shades of these but I left the two shades somewhere so they are not on these pics. One was a gorgeous deep purple color and the other a super dark greenish shadow color.

Shawill Mono Eyeshadow
Php 69.00
Where to buy: SM, Landmark

Left: 004 Shade (Brown); Right: 005 Shade (Black)

Me Says:

  • These shadows are highly pigmented
  • Staying power was impressive (I've got oily lids so you can just imagine they are not supposed to last that long, lol)
  • Cheap (for Php 69.00, it's a steal!)
  • Nice packaging
  • Handy

Dislikes:

  • Not too many colors to choose from
  • I wish there was an applicator so I need not bring one but I usually use another brush to apply this

My Verdict:

4.00 Lipsticks  (+)

If you are new to makeup and looking for something cheap but works, this can be your best bet. And when you accidentally break one, don't worry, you can always grab a new one.:)

TIP: For the color to stand out and last longer, please don't forget to put some eye primer. I'll post a review of my favorite eye primer soon!

Ciao!

Love,
Miss J
