REVISITED | Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil Review

July 30, 2016

I am sure you know about my facial oil obsession previously discussed here on my blog. To begin, I have combination to oily skin- and yes there are days that only my T-zone turns into a greaseball but there are lonely days that my pores are overacting and producing oil in every pore I have. I mean that is just unfair.

They say our pore size is determined by genetics. If it's true, then I probably inherited my father's genes. I remember days when I would volunteer to extract whiteheads from his nose (it's gross, I know!) but what does an 11-year-old know about pores anyway.

So for many years, I hated the feel of oil in my face. It was only later on that I realized that facial oils contain important fatty acids which are essential to keep my skin hydrated. Sebum (the one which clogs our pores and causes breakouts) on the other hand is produced if our skin's natural oils aren't balanced. If you are guilty of overcleansing, then you should know that our skin just to compensate for that, produces more oil in the end. When skin is balanced, they tend to behave very well leaving our skin clearer.

Amongst all the I've tried, there are two which stood out. One of them is the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil. This luxurious oil is made in France and can be used on face, body and hair. With its 97.8% natural formula, Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse® is enriched with vitamin E and is guaranteed to be free of silicone and mineral oils. Consisting of 6 Precious Plant Oils(Macadamia, Hazelnut, Borage, Sweet Almond, Camellia and St. John's Wort),this dry oil nourishes, repairs and softens face, skin and hair in a single sweep.

I like the fact that I can use it for my face, body and hair but I use it mostly on my face each bed time. I love its signature smell to bits. I wake up without looking like a disco ball since it is a dry oil thus is absorbed by my skin right away. It never broke me out perhaps it is because it is mineral oil free. Whenever I get dry areas due to products I use with exfoliating properties or even salicylic acid, it moisturizes them perfectly. It's a perfect moisturizer when I am traveling to another country and even when I'm back home.

I don't think it brightened my skin as what others have claimed but overall, I am super impressed with this magic in a bottle.

Overall Verdict:
4.5 Lipsticks

Buy Again: Yes! This is one of the best facial oils I've  tried.

In the Philippines, you can get this from Beauty Bar for Php 995+ for 50ml.
