REVISITED | Bifesta Sebum Cleansing Lotion Review

August 08, 2013

I've been revamping my old skin care too, not just my makeup collection. My latest addiction is Mario Badescu. He's not some guy I've met somewhere, instead it's a skin care line which caters for most oily skinned people like me. Anyhow I shall be posting a new entry for that, so yes, sneak peek I guess.

I am a changed woman now when it comes to skin care where I used to take this step not too seriously. I'm not yet in my 40's albeit a much revamped skin care is much appreciated. Hello 30's, I am here!

What I like about the Bifesta Sebum Cleansing Lotion is that it is waterbased, does not leave any oily residue unlike the others. I heard that this can also be used as your cleaning and toning step all in one or a makeup setting spray but I don't have much experience in doing so because I use an extra toning step with my Mario after that.

It is not drying on my skin afterwards, no sting after each application too. It comes in a blue liquidy form with a hint of an oil. It is odorless for me and does the job except that you might probably need to repeat the process if you have to remove that stubborn mascara.

I picked up this product at SM Makati (Watson's area) for Php 400+; much cheaper than the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil which I plan to get soon via mandatory gift for my birthday this year, through someone else (oh yes, I bargained for it!). This is from Japan so expect to get your money's worth.

Oh, the dirt!

Me Says:

- Waterbased
- No weird smell, completely odorless
- Affordable
- Comes in a large bottle
- Removes makeup, dirt and residue
- Can double as cleansing and toning cleanser for your face
- Comes in various variants

Dislikes:

- May not remove stubborn mascara in one application
- A repeat process may be necessary

Overall Verdict :

4.5 Lipsticks

If you got oily skin like I do, this is worth your try. Besides washing my face, I don't really think our regular soaps can completely clean our faces so this step is definitely a welcome addition to our skin care regimen.

Buy Again: Yes, though I would like to try the one which says "Brightening".

Oh well, who doesn't want to shine bright like a diamond?

Love,
Miss J

  1. I have been seeing this product in SM and Landmark. I always pick it up and I bring it down before reaching the counter because I am a bit on the fence. I think I will once and for all try it for myself! Thanks for posting!
