Bangkok Beauty Haul | No7 Beautifully Matte Make up Base, I7 Whitening Foundation Powder SPF 25/ PA+++ Oil Control, Pantene All Day Smooth Miracle Water

August 03, 2013

I am officially back! And this time it will be for good. Had a number of life-changing setbacks and now is the time to keep myself busy.
I have received numerous emails and sms saying how they liked my letter to Dad tribute and that it has touched them in many ways. Thank you dear friends and readers.

The truth is, while he was battling with his disease, I could not figure how to write properly. I was juggling work, coping with a sick loved one,  plus this blog. Much of my time was spent with work and family since early this year.
Anyhow, I was able to do a modest kind of shopping in Bangkok since I was away earlier this month. I was on a relatively tight budget and in fact was too lazy to fly there. To top it all, I was on a Project: No Makeup buy for a while with all these crazy hospital bills!
So here is my kind of modest shopping in beautiful Bangkok before I even learned the news that my dad passed away. I was thinking to only spare my moolah on products which can only be found in this side of the earth.
No7 Beautifully Matte Make up Base (400 Bhat)

It keeps shiny skin under control all day long with a mattifying oil-free base. I picked this up in Boots I completely forgot how much this retails for as I paid in cash but my gut tells me I paid roughly 400 Bhat for this baby.
I7 Whitening Foundation Powder SPF 25/ PA+++ Oil Control (165 Bhat)
This product is a little velvety the first time I  tried it but then sometimes I do find it a little chalky. Kind of weird combination I guess but Natural Beige is still no match to my NC40 skin tone. I wish they have a match to darker-skinned ladies!
Pantene All Day Smooth Miracle Water (225 Bhat)
Claims to beat the dryness and humidity in any weather. Been lemming on this since I saw this being sold locally here in Manila but I was holding myself from spending. This time, I gave it a go. I love the smell of this thingy the only downside is that I needed to use more than 2 pumps to work it up on my very dry ends.

Have you done shopping while traveling lately? What are your best buys?
Love,
Miss J
