June Bride: Rosette

August 07, 2013

Sometime ago, I was asked by my friend and classmate from grade school Rosette to do her bridal makeup. We were literally seatmates, imagine that! And we would always bump into each other in flights from and to Virac, my hometown.
I wasn't sold to the idea at first: I hate being a guest and a MUA at the same time. It just ruins the occasion for me, hahaha.
So in my effort to not convince her I was('nt) was the right MUA for her, I asked if she was willing to spend one afternoon for her trial makeup and luckily she liked it.

We were booked to do the makeup at Diamond Hotel along Roxas Boulevard.
I used makeup from MAC, NARS, Benefit, and Laura Mercier to create this look.

Here's a photo of the bride sans makeup:
And here she is with full makeup on (some photos from Rosette's FB page):

Bridal makeup is supposed to be natural and still looking like you, only better.
Now, just a side note: I won the bouquet contest and let's see if this thing works, hahahaha!

If you plan to be a June bride just like her, find a makeup artist that you feel comfortable with and be realistic with your expectations.
Afterall, your wedding day is supposed to be your best-looking day ever!!!

Thanks Rosette for trusting in me. Best wishes and wishing you beautiful babies:)
Love,
Miss J

  1. Thank you Miss J for being such a huge part of our wedding day...for making me absolutely beautiful. My makeup when I was finished was exactly what I wanted - simple, elegant, and understated, para na ring naka airbrush ako :)
