REVISITED | FaceShop Aqua Tinted BB Cream Review

April 25, 2012

I was crazy for BB creams in the past. And I mean crazy. If I tell you how many I've tried, you will just hate me if I start telling you.

When I was on my Seoul searching trip in 2010, I once again scored BB creams however my thoughts in choosing the right products is this: choose the one which works for you and stick to it. Our skin is not a good testing grounds for all products we want simply because it will even cost us more to fix the mess.

Anyhow, talk about BB creams, I wanna share to you my thoughts on the FaceShop Acqua Tinted BB Cream in Natural Beige (php 450+).

I got this since last year and God knows how much I tried to make it work for me but sad to say, it was a such a disappointment considering that according to the packaging it contains 70% moisture.

Me Says:

- Light to medium coverage
- Water based
- Has SPF 20

Dislikes:

- Oil control was a fail even with primer
- Natural Beige was not a match for me
- Cannot wear this BB cream alone as it leaves me with too much whitecast

Overall Verdict:

2 Lipsticks

I have tried other BB creams in the past and this one was definitely not the best amongst them. I tried to make it work by using primer, setting with a darker powder, mixing with my Majolica Majorca primer to no avail.

A friend of mine from Seoul told me Koreans usually do not fancy Faceshop but I hope this isn't one of the reasons. He said that they prefer Etude House between the two:(.

Well hopefully, my next FaceShop post will be better.

Love,
Miss J

  1. It’s really a no no to test many BB creams on your skin… I totally agree with that. Sometimes I wonder how others use different types of samples and test them on their skin.
