Typhoon Haiyan | When Children Teach Us to Restore Faith in Humanity
November 16, 2013
Still recovering from the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, I was moved
to tears when I saw this six-year-old Japanese boy, Shoichi Kondoh donates 5,000 Japanese Yen supposedly from his
own savings. The story was that this boy came to the Philippine embassy in Japan
with her mother and immediately became the youngest donor in Japan.

A little girl named Lana, cared by a Filipina nanny from the Middle East
also tried to ask her classmates one Riyal each for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

It's quite different when children share valuable lessons to adults such as sharing instead of the other way around. When you read stories like this, you must believe that faith in humanity can be restored. Thank you Shoichi and Lana! Your parents must have taught you well!
Love,
