REVISITED | MAC Pro Longwear Lip Crème in Prolong Review

I am called "Redlippie" for no reason so today’s review is all about
the MAC Pro Longwear Lip Crème in Prolong. I picked this up in MAC store at Rustan’s
in Makati for Php 1,100. Yeah, MAC is a whole lot cheaper if you buy it in the
US or Canada. Right now, I have about six (6) lippies from MAC which I use
interchangeably. You must also know that I have more reds than pinks or
neutrals.
The MAC Pro Longwear series is my fave amongst their
lipsticks. These lipsticks glide very smoothly, creamy, stay put for hours
(well not over 8 hours in my case) and not that drying as long as you make sure
to get a good lip scrub before putting it on.
They are very pigmented
especially the reds. The MAC Pro Longwear Lip Crème in Prolong differs from
their matte series in the sense that the matte ones have lesser staying power
based on my experience. The MAC Pro Longwear Lip Crème in Prolong is a
blue-based red and very opaque. This is slightly similar to the MAC Ruby Woo Ihad reviewed in the past. It has a semi matte finish in my opinion which later
on dries to give you that matte effect.
It instantly brightens my face when I am too lazy to put on
makeup. In fact, when you see me wearing a red lippie, most probably I didn’t
have much time to apply my makeup. It flatters my skin tone, but for darker
ladies, I think MAC’s Russian Red will suit you more.

I have no complaints really except for its price here in
sunny Manila. But I am not going to change my feelings about this lippie.
Quality lipstick is a must for every lady, don’t you think?
