    1. Hi Monica-- I don't have a visa to USA, Canada, etc.. I applied as a Filipino national here in Taiwan embassy in Manila.

Is your boyfriend a Filipino? If he is, he can apply as a regular tourist by complying the requirements above.

    3. Hi Monica-- the Taiwan embassy here in the Philippines does not say how much money you should have in your bank. My guess is that that's because they want to look at other details such as if you have a job to come back to after your trip and won't end up staying there illegally.

I was there on a new year holiday so it was vacation. It was my second trip to Taipei and so far I didn't have any trouble getting a visa.

If your bf has a regular job and apply as a tourist, he can submit for the following:

      - cert of employment from his employer stating his monthly income
      - BIR 2316(government issued tax from)
      - Bank certificate
      - Etc.

Or better yet ask him to call the Taiwanese embassy here in Manila.

      Goodluck:)
