  1. Hello Miss J,

So if I want to go to Taiwan, I can just get a plane ticket over to Taiwan and then stay for a couple of days and then comeback?

    1. Hello there, the above instructions only apply to Filipino residents:)

  2. hello, miss j,
so u came to taiwan by having valid visas or permanent resident cards of U.S.A., Canada, Japan, U.K., EU Schengen, Australia and New Zealand. or u applyed the visa from taiwan??? my bf recelty wanna come to taiwan, i need ur help what to do is the best way and make sure he can come in middle Oct. thank u so much for helping, hope to hear from u soon..:)

    1. Hi Monica-- I don't have a visa to USA, Canada, etc.. I applied as a Filipino national here in Taiwan embassy in Manila.

Is your boyfriend a Filipino? If he is, he can apply as a regular tourist by complying the requirements above.

    2. hi, Miss J, thank you so much for ur replying, it encourge me a lot, about finacial statament, how much money does he at least need to have in bank account to show gov? and like he is not here for business, he is here for visiting me and my family, did u come here coz business or u also here for visiting only?? thank u so much again :)

    3. Hi Monica-- the Taiwan embassy here in the Philippines does not say how much money you should have in your bank. My guess is that that's because they want to look at other details such as if you have a job to come back to after your trip and won't end up staying there illegally.

I was there on a new year holiday so it was vacation. It was my second trip to Taipei and so far I didn't have any trouble getting a visa.

If your bf has a regular job and apply as a tourist, he can submit for the following:

      - cert of employment from his employer stating his monthly income
      - BIR 2316(government issued tax from)
      - Bank certificate
      - Etc.

Or better yet ask him to call the Taiwanese embassy here in Manila.
