REVISITED | Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner Review

April 11, 2015

I am not supposed to tell you this secret but sharing is good, I was told. After trying toners from this brand since 2013, I was hooked.

I love, love, love the Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner.Formulated for dry and sensitive skin, it surprisingly works for me. I have tried numerous toners in my life but my skin absolutely loves this thing! It keeps pimples at bay for me and my skin is a lot, lot in a better state now than before. While it claims it helps soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles while smoothing the skin with the anti-aging ingredients, I cannot attest to that yet. I don't have any visible wrinkles so far and I am so lucky in that department. I think this is one of the good things when you have combination to oily skin- wrinkles come later!

This toner which has 2% Glycolic Acid and the Alpha Hydroxy Acid are found naturally in Papaya Extract and helps accelerate skin cell turnover for younger-looking skin. Aloe Vera is added to soothe your complexion. It is also alcohol free.

One bottle could last me for two months believe me. Don't soak your cotton swab in the toner, it is a waste of product plus no, it won't hasten the effect anyway. Moderation is the key.

To some, it stings. And yes, you can get that tingling sensation if you overdo it. Twice a day is the recommended regimen but if you are too sensitive, you can apply only once or every other day. There is a light exfoliation though 'micro', you wouldn't even know it happened. But you will see the difference after few weeks. Your skin would brighten and looking very smooth!

The only consideration maybe for some is the price. It retails for Php 1,150.00 in Rustan's stores.

What else can I say: This is the best toner for me.

Overall Verdict:

5 Lipsticks

Love,
