One of the many things I enjoyed in Japan was the FOOD! OMG- from their local restaurants to convenience store hot meals, you’ll soon realize Japanese people know how to prepare food right.
A lot of times, as I come home from a long day of sightseeing, I would just crash Lawson or Family Mart and get myself these ready-to-eat meals. They are surprisingly delicious and quite different from the hot meals I would experience in sunny Manila.
I just came back from a 10-day trip in Japan covering two cities, Tokyo and Fukouka. Tokyo is more cosmopolitan being the capital while Fukouka is more laidback. I was told by someone that if you plan to excel professionally, go to Tokyo as there are more job opportunities over there. On the other hand, if you want to raise a family and have a work-life balance, then Fukouka could be your best bet.

Miss J's wardrobe timeline:
Mon to Fri= Maxi Dresses or Jeans
Weekends= Shorts
Miss J= Happy
Okay here's the deal: On usual work weekdays, I would probably be wearing maxi dresses more often than jeans. On weekends you would probably catch me sporting some shorts. I may not have the most fashionable legs in the whole wide world but I wear shorts like it's the end of the world, lol.
I guess wearing shorts reminded me of my childhood as a tomboy. I have no recollection that I ever played with barbie dolls. I was always with the boys playing those hard to beat boys' games, mind you. Even my dad at some point thought I was going to grow up like a man, hahaha! But of course, I was girlie girlie all the way deep inside me since I started having crushes at 14 (ehem!).
July was a memorable month for many reasons and one of those reasons was because my Tokyo-based friend Khim came for a 3-week visit with her hubby and baby named Yuki. She is married to a Japanese national and stayed in Tokyo since then.
Oh how I missed her!
Anyhow, aside from finally meeting baby Yuki, she gifted me a very pretty Yukata dress! But what's a Yukata dress anyways?
