After More Than Two Years, What’s Up Lasik?

October 30, 2014

This week, I went to Shinagawa Lasik and Aesthetic Center.  Just in case you don’t know, in 2012,  I had lasik surgery to correct my vision. I haven’t been to their clinic since then so this trip is quite exciting. Two years went by so fast and my lasik procedure warranty would end in 2015 so this year is the best time to check again.

I had to undergo the same test I had during my surgery only this time, it went quite fast. Dr. Dinglasan then told me my vision is still superb and I couldn’t agree more.  To reference, I wore  4.5 and 4.0 contact lenses prior to this.

First of all, I can drive around the metro without having to worry about my vision. I am enjoying my travels even more. I can spot the cutest guy 50 meters away from me, lol. In short,  my life’s prettier now as I don’t need to wear glasses each morning right after I wake up. I can see and read billboards without any problems.  And yes, even if I can see the bad things around me, I’d like to focus on the good ones as it is just a matter of perception.

I have a lot of things to be thankful for after my lasik procedure. It was as if I was given a new pair of eyes. Ah, new lease in life! I used to be too critical of changes. Even now, I still fear changes. I guess, the only thing different is that I am now more open that changes are inevitable in our lives. Sure it can challenge you, but you come out quite different after. You’d be even more surprised to see how well you can cope up.

So more than two years after my lasik procedure, I still agree that this is definitely one of the best decisions I ever made and paid in my life. Sure it didn’t come cheap. But I am telling you, it’s worth it.

Get one if you can. Immediately. You see- I am still alive.

Love,
